SD could be in play though. I still don't get why ND has swung further to Obama than SD.

SD is more polarized. More Democrats, more Republicans, fewer Independents. More self-IDed liberals, more self-IDed conservatives. More Native Americans, white voters are more conservative. South Dakota was weaker for Bush but is harder to budge.
