Of the 2,800,000 people that live in the Greater St. Louis area, about 688,000 live in IL, so that's where some of the support is coming from.

Whats the point of going to that event if you can't hear a damn thing he's saying( which is the same stump speech ) ?   Unless you are one of the lucky ones who get to stand by the stage area.

I bet secret service earned their pay today LOL.

The Founding Fathers were always weary of demagogues.  And Hitler and Obama are the same in that they both are adept at manipulating people's emotions to enact their goals.  Hitler's was an Aryan utopia, Obama's is a socialist utopia.  They also have the same supporters, and their magnetism is rooted in their ability to draw anger out of people.  Both of them believe that if a certain group is *exterminated*, then Heaven can be created on Earth.  Hitler wanted to exterminate the Jews, and in a non-literal sense, Obama wants to exterminate oil executives, big corporations, etc.

Not that there's anything wrong with drawing large crowds.  But it really makes one wonder what in the world these people see in him.  We wonder about how Hitler was able to attract such vast crowds - "what in the hell were they thinking?"  In the same way I think we will look back and shake our head at the fools who are attending the Obama rallies.  And I think people will also think - of all those thousands of people, why didn't one of them try to shoot him?

But these are just my thoughts.  I have always disliked Obama, not always, but since late 2006 when I began to see beyond the veil.  I began to *assume* things about Obama, and over time these assumptions were proven correct.  He is a pathological liar, power-hungry, egotistical, pompous ... full of racial hatred ... but I fear that America will not see what I see until it is too late.

I disagree.

I see the typical politician .. .. a libreal Reagan in a sense.

I don't see any racial hatred in Obama because if that was the case he wouldn't have picked Biden or would his campaign be ran by white folk...  a Jew at that.
Unless you are thinking his somewhat tie to Rev Wright?  Who I agree does not think to highly of whites, but Obama could actually care less about Wright.

Politicans like power,  moving up the food chain ,and along the way they meet people.  McCain is the same way only has a anger problem that shows and likewise Obama is able to not show to his benefit and disadvantage ( seems like he would be weak when confronting leaders).

"He is a pathological liar, power-hungry, egotistical, pompous "  - This is all of them who run for president.

I know you are a republican and can't see past the partisan hackery to understand real world of politics and when you think about it, neither party would not want that because they would have no base.  Thats why you have the msnbcs and foxnews to feed you the party line keeping the masses stuffed full partisan BS in order to keep the cash flowing to the big men who runs these networks.

I don't have a dog in this race that i really like, but I believe they are both craving politicans who want to run the country.  I think Obama is the better one at doing that over McCain, but hey i don't have to tell you that just look at how the campaigns are ran and compare.

I bet Obama says "Allah bless me" (or "social and economic justice bless me") after he sneezes.

I think what you're looking for is الحمد لله.

The world really really is unfair...

The VP debate takes place a day before I get to St. Louis....

and now this takes place the day I left the area...I really had hoped the flight would be overbooked...but no luck..

Looks like it was fun...shame I wasn't able to attend.
