According to my father, who got it off SRC, Charest is going to dissolve the National Assembly for December 8 elections.

Buh bye Mario!

SRC [qm]

Though I did think that there might be something in this as soon as I head that Harpo had officially denied that he was going to call a snap election.

Dumont will win reelection. His party is a completely different matter. Of course, I have to root for Charest since Marois is almost as bad as Dumont.

Most recent poll, from CROP:

PLQ: 41 (+8 on 2007)
PQ: 32 (+4)
ADQ: 16 (-15)
Vert: 6 (+2)
QS: 4 (nc)

Looking like a re-run of 2003.

Oh yes. My "buh bye" statement referred to the Official Opposition spot.

I'm endorsing the Greenies of course, but I hope the Libs win. Least worst option.

I think the ADQ is now more of a

than even a sinking ship.

(now that I've done that, they'll find some way of surviving as a major party... oh cheap laughter, why must thou be so costly...)

Marois, who has made comments easily construed as racist...

Don't be fooled. If she weren't a hardcore separatist and Francophone nationalist, she'd belong in the ADQ.

I agree with you Xahar, but I prefer Charest. He is the less awful. I also agree with Verily. We didn't have an inspiring leader since Bourassa and Lévesque.

I would use the word stupid, but that wasn't the best prime minister. Better than Bouchard, however.

I'm secretly rooting for Marois, because I think Canada needs a female premier. But, I would rather wait for Carole James Cheesy

...

I would probably vote for one of their spokesmen who almost won in their ridings, and maybe that Bill Clennett guy... but I'm not sure if I would root for them. Argh...

No, but there is serious talk for redistricting before long.

Posted a thread with some proposals a while ago.

They'd be nice if they were relevant. But only one labor candidate has beenn elected in Quebec in the past 70 years or so.
