Unfortunately for Dems, Musgrove has collapsed and I know why...

Because of the gay ad. It has scared White people in MS to death ...

Nah.  Wicker had one of the best debate performances I've witnessed this year in their recent debate.  Also, Wicker is running radio ads in the black community lambasting Musgrove for not being able to mention that he supports *Barack Obama*.  Intelligent advertising, imho.

The crosstabs quite accurately note that Wicker is getting 12% of blacks, while McCain is getting 1%

Sam, could you also say how many whites are supporting Obama?

According to this poll - 15%.  82% support McCain.  3% are undecided/other, i.e. support McCain.

Wicker running ahead of McCain seems hard to believe

It's all about getting 12% of blacks, as opposed to 1%.  McCain runs 3%-4% ahead of Wicker among whites.

That trick is working is it. Interesting.

Granted the poll could be an outlier (Prez race is similar, but still), but compare the results...

                    White    Black
Wicker          73.58    2.24
Musgrove     21.09    96.54

10/27/08

Musgrove 42.51

                     White    Black
Wicker          77.97    11.85
