I've got to admit though, besides bragging about how you're so badass for driving a forum member away, you have gotten a bit better ECR.

I would have done it whether or not he was still here and you know it's true Mechman.  You know it's true.

We both agreed we'd bump it after the election and whoever was wrong would have to own up.  Where is confident Phillip now?

That's right: nowhere to be found.  Face it: a newbie, in his first 10 posts on this forum, called out a veteran member and won.

Go away you idiotic troll. No likes you. Not even me.

I'm not about to take advice from someone who isn't even old enough to vote and who fails at all political arguments.

Are you for real? I may be younger, but hell I actually speak like a normal person and don't brag about stuff I didn't do.

So, yea STFU and let real conservatives talk, not crazy fake trolls.

Ohh I think I hit a nerve.

I'm sorry.  You speak like someone who learned from their parents to hate all gun control and those that don't follow religion.  Your talking points can be copied verbatim from redstate.com or Sarah Palin's twitter.  You don't think for yourself; you have other Conservative ideologues think for you.  Too bad the ones I suspect do the thinking for you are totally out of touch with what this country is actually about.  You are nothing but a huge hack for the ultra right.

You do real Conservatism a great injustice.

Wow, ECR.......you're getting pretty good at this. Though JC isn't totally "ultra right", have you heard his views on free trade?
Seriously man, keep this kind of dialogue up and you might just end up on Mechaman's Top Ten Randomly Likable Atlasians List.
But seriously man, keep it up.

Sorry JC.........I still think you're a likable kid but the ECR is right man, start thinking outside the box of standard right wing fare.

So, anyone wondering why Woodbridge wound up going GOP?  Or why Corzine's margins plummeted in Essex?  Lesson Number 1 for the next Democratic nominee in NJ: Don't piss on your friends.

Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac headed for Christie transition team

When Gov. Jon Corzine came into office as a Wall Street whiz and criticized all the financial activity that preceeded him, John McCormac was none too pleased. McCormac, the state treasurer under Govs. Jim McGreevey and Richard Codey, and now mayor of Woodbridge, also disliked how Corzine dissed key Democratic mayors of large towns.

Now comes the payback. McCormac, whose township of 100,000 residents surprisingly voted Republican on Tuesday, wasted no time stepping out with GOP Gov.-elect Chris Christie on Thursday. And three sources tell The Auditor that McCormac is likely to be a part of Christie’s transition team.

Treachery or Paranoia?

When the dust settled after Election Day, it was clear that Corzine’s numbers were far worse than expected in some key Democratic areas. And Christie’s first post-election appearance at the Robert Treat Academy in Newark only further aroused suspicions that party bosses did not go all-out for Corzine.

Codey said the results demonstrate the treachery in some quarters of the state’s Democratic Party. He declined to name names, but he made his comments after it was announced that Christie’s first post-victory event would be held at the crown jewel of the empire controlled by Newark Democratic powerbroker Steve Adubato.

To make it a tad more clear, the 36th is all in Bergen except for only the city of Passaic and the Essex county town of Nutley.  Otherwise its the areas collectively known as "the Meadowlands"

Just as a wrap up about New Jersey's first female LG: Chris Christie has made the decision to nominate LG Gudagno as Secretary of State.

Apparently, the NJ LG law requires Christie name her to some manner of cabinet position, excluding Attorney General.

Consider the circumstances when it was written: New Jersey was having severe budgetary issues, and the idea of creating one more do-nothing political job was a very unappealing thought.  So, instead of creating a Lt. Governor who literally does nothing but wait for the Governor to retire or die, they decided that the Lt. Governor will actually have to do something.

I dunno, it's a weird law, but it's maybe better than paying someone a hundred thousand plus a year to do nothing.

I changed my prediction to Christie a few days before the election but my prediction map still says that I predicted a Corzine win. Gay.

When I looked last, Christie was up by about 100,000.  I wonder how he lost 13,000 from his lead?  Provisional ballots?

David's site still shows Christie at 1,154,623; Corzine at 1,054,401.  Interesting that Corzine received over 60% of the last ~56,000 votes to be counted.  It must be more of NJ politics at its best.

Well, we know from the primary that New Jersey is bad at counting votes, so they probably have to correct their totals after election day. Same thing happened in 2008; Lautenberg's margin increased by a few percent after the initial total showed something like a 9 or 10 percent victory.

The Atlas numbers are still based on AP reports of 99% of precincts reporting. Most of the remaining precincts were in Corzine strongholds like Essex and Hudson, so it´s not really strange that Corzine received a majority in these remaining precincts.

According to Wikipedia, Jon Corzine's Reign of Terror comes to an end today and the enlightened leadership of Chris Christie shall begin. Translation: Chris Christie is being sworn in today.
