2009: President Obama (D) pushes his planes through congress that is pushed to work together. His healthcare reform is passed with everyone able to join in the plan. Ted Stevens (R) is forced to resign his position in the Senate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) appoints herself as his replacement. By the end of the year the recession has dissolved and the economy is on its way back. Though Chrysler is unable to survive and is sold in three parts; Jeep to GM (merging with its Hummer brand, but under the Jeep brand), Chrysler to Hyundai, and Dodge to Honda.

2010: The embargo on Cuba is lifted after President Obama (D) meets with Raúl Castro, and Castro agrees to release political prisoners and gives civil rights to the people of Cuba. Cuba begins to prosper with American tourists. By midyear all but 5,000 troops are withdrawn from Iraq and 3 additional combat brigades are sent into Afghanistan due to an ever increasing violence on the Afghan-Pakistan border. Democrats are able to gain more seats in both houses of congress due to President Obama’s (D) approval rating of 65%. A vote is held in all US territories to decide their status with the US; the District of Columbia is annexed by Maryland, American Samoa is annexed by Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands become the 51st State of Puerto Rico, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands become the 52nd State of Mariana.

2011: Iran agrees to allow the UN into its nuclear plants where they find no signs of a possible weapons program. The US reestablishes diplomatic ties with Iran after the UN’s report and President Obama (D) meeting with 2nd term President Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Khamenei, in which both countries plan to work on a way to insure peace in the region. The hot topic of the meeting is the establishment of a Palestinian state over an Israeli one. President Obama (D) then meets with members of both Israel and the West Bank in which a new Palestinian state is established out of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. This brings peace to the region as Palestine’s neighbors help to insure against Islamic extremist in the new republic.

2012: President Obama (D) decides to run for a second term as president and Vice-President Biden (D) joins him on the ticket as well. The front runners for the Republican nominee are Senator Sarah Palin of Alaska (R), former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R), Texas Governor Rick Perry (R), Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels (R), and Representative Roy Blunt of Missouri (R). After a tight race Texas Governor Perry (R) wins the nomination and selects Senator Palin of Alaska (R) as his VP. President Obama has an approve rating of 72% and many see the Republicans having a hard time combating against the number. The Republicans lose the Presidential election but make ground in both houses of Congress.

270 to win, 435+104=539 (note PR and MR don't show up on the map)

2013: President Obama (D) continues his healthcare reform after his previous plan did not work to lower premiums. Congress passes the American Healthcare Act of 2013 by midsummer. The American Healthcare Act of 2013 establishes a universal healthcare system in America that eliminates Medicare and Medicaid and establishes Healthcare under FICA at 8.5% on all income. The act implements an electronic health information system, and covers checkups, physicals, recoveries, pregnancies, young child daycare, preventive care, and surgeries. Plastic surgery and other non-health related care will not be covered and individuals are able to buy private insurance to cover the additional care that they want. This is seen as the highlight of the year, and Obama’s rating goes up to 87%.

2014: Congress passes the Fair Trade Act of 2014 in early spring which eliminates all free trade deals the US had established in years past. Congress races heat up as more seats start to go to Republicans, but they are still the minority party. By the end of the year President Obama (D) starts to bring troops home after Osama bin Laden is captured alive, and al-Qaeda and the Taliban are finally defeated.

2015: Osama bin Laden is trialed in the States and is found guilty on all charges and is given the death penalty by gun shot in late spring. Obama rating stays high which prompts Congress to pass the Twenty-eighth Amendment, which repeals the Twenty-second Amendment, eliminating the limit of the President to two terms. This drops Congresses approval rating from 74% to 42% in a matter of weeks.

2016: President Obama (D) decides go ahead and run for a third term as President, but VP Biden (D) decides not to be his running mate. So, Obama (D) selects Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana (D). The Republicans are seen in being in another tight spot and have Senator Sarah Palin of Alaska (R) as the overwhelming favorite for the nomination as nobody challenges her. She selects Senator David Vitter of Louisiana (R) as her VP choice. The Republicans try pushing the fact that Obama is becoming a dictator by running a third term, which helps them win some more states then the last election, but not enough as Obama wins his third term.

270 to win, 335+104=539 (note PR and MR don't show up on the map)
Barack Obama/Evan Bayh (D): 310
Sarah Palin/David Vitter (R): 229

2017: An oil crisis emerges in the Middle East as production starts to dwindle down as oil fields start to dry up. A civil war breaks out in Saudi Arabia between a pro-democratic side and an Islamic republic side. The Saudi royal family is executed in a matter of months, resulting in US intervention and backing the pro-democratic side with weapons and troops. The Islamic republic side is based around former terrorist leaders and their followers. President Obama (D) secures the oil fields to insure that the Islamic republic can’t hold them as a hostage. By the end of the year the US and pro-democratic side win the war and establish the Republic of Arabia and annexes Oman, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates, after civil wars followed in those countries as well.

2018: In early spring India invades Pakistan and Bangladesh after a pro-Indian group wins power in India. The group wants to unite the former British India as a way to get its hands on more resources that the country desperately needs. The US tries to urge India against the decision through the UN, but President Obama (D) isn’t able to change India’s decision. War is pressed by a small group in Washington, but Obama decides that it’s not in the US’s best interests to do so. Some start to fear that if the US doesn’t get involved that China might do the same as India.

2019: President Obama (D) meets with European leaders at the signing of the European Constitution, which establishes the European Federation. At the same time Russia annexes Belarus after a vote is held in that country to join Russia or not. In the US 50% of the energy used is green, and the Green Energy Act of 2019 is passed, calling for 100% of the energy used in America to be green in 5 years. And there are signs that Obama (D) will not run for a fourth term, but hasn’t come out about it.

2020: President Obama (D) announces that he won’t seek another term and supports VP Evan Bayh (D) as his replacer. Bayh (D) wins hands down and becomes the Democratic nominee, while the Republicans have long fight for theirs. The Republican front runners are former Missouri Governor Roy Blunt (R), former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R), Senator John Branch of Washington (R), and Representative Kelly Ming of California (R). Ming (R) is the underdog due to her age, 37, but none the less wins a close race over Blunt (R). Ming (R) selects Bobby Jindal (R) as her running mate, and Bayh (D) selects Senator Andrew Curry of California (D) as a way to insure a win in California. Somehow Kelly Ming (R) wins by a small margin over Bayh (D) by winning California.

2021: President Ming (R) pushes the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to open its door to a more democratic government, but is shoved out the door with the mention of the words. She then starts up talks with the Republic of China (ROC) for more economic trade between the two nations, as she plans to cut trade with the PRC. It wasn’t made public but both parties were in favor of this move. By the end of the year the China Trading Act of 2021 was passed with few opposing the act.

2022: The PRC goes into a recession with its biggest trading partner cutting ties with the country, thus the PRC increases its military spending to help keep it afloat. The world watches on and awaits the next move of the PRC. India invades Sri Lanka and calls an end to its territorial expansion as the UN makes it clear that if India tried to invade another country that the UN would strike back. President Ming (R) marries Mike Alfano, a business mastermind, after dating for six years, and she plans on changing her name after she leaves office.

2023: The third world war breaks out between the United States (US), the European Federation (EF), the Russian Federation, and the People's Republic of China (PRC). The war breaks when the Republic of China (ROC) tried to break the ties it had established with the PRC. The PRC looks down on this as an attempt by the US President Ming (R) to overthrow the communist government of her parent’s homeland by taking over the ROC. So, in April the PRC invades the ROC with 500,000 soldiers. The next day the ROC is taken over by the PRC and the US starts to mount an attack but waits further aggression by the PRC. The PRC sees that the US does nothing but give a statement about the situation as a sign that they will not stop them. So, in May the PRC invades North Korea, three days later the PRC has complete control of North Korea. Now the US sees that the PRC is starting to get more aggressive, and sends 400,000 more troops to South Korea as a way to dissolve the PRC's aggression. This does stop the PRC's push to the east but the PRC decides to instead go north and south, with the invasions of Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar. Now the world takes notice of the PRC and decides to try and stop the PRC's aggression. Russia on the other hand, lead by President Peter Krukov, decides to join with the PRC in order to prevent an invasion of Russia by the PRC. With the PRC backing, Russia decides to retake her former soviet satellites. The EF, lead by President Gina Pryce, is the first to declare war on Russia in August when Russia invades its Baltic states and the following day against the PRC.

2024: The US decides to join the fight and declares war against the PRC and Russia on January 1. This opens the door for Democrats, who use the war as a mean to retake the White House. President Ming (R) urges that a change of power during the war could lead to loss in the war, while the frontrunners for the Democrats urge that President Ming (R) is the reason for the start of the war. Senator Andrew Curry of California (D) wins the Democrat nomination hands down. Senator Curry selects Ohio Governor Vanessa Cunningham (D) as his running mate and Vice-President Jindal (R) rejoins President Ming (R) on the ticket again. In the election Senator Curry (D) wins by a landslide over President Kelly Ming (R), due the push by Democrats that Ming (R) is the reason for the war.

2025: Russia invades Iran and the PRC invades India. This is seen as a possible turning point in the war as the US comes to the aid of Iran and the EF to India. The US is victorious and strikes a deal with Iran to become a democratic republic at the end of the war. The EF isn’t quite as lucky in India, as the PRC pushed the European and Indian forces to the south and west, until the US comes to their aid towards the end of the year.

2026: The PRC inks a deal with Cuba to use their ports for navel missions against the US and the EF. After word breaks the US invades Cuba and overthrows the Castro Family and secures Cuba’s ports. The Cuba deal was just a diversion as the PRC invades Mexico’s southwestern coast and set up bases in Salina Cruz, Galera, and Acapulco. A week later they are knocking on the door of Mexico City, and the story breaks in the US causing outrage in the Border States. The US then invades Mexico as not to bring the war onto its soil. Major battles take place in Chihuahua, Monterrey, and Guadalajara, with US victories in Chihuahua and Monterrey, but a PRC win in Guadalajara. The EF makes a push towards Moscow but backs out as winter moves in.

2027: In the spring the EF pushes back into Russia blocking its access to the Baltic Sea and by summer the Black Sea. Russia is then forced to use its arctic seaports for its home to what remains of its Baltic and Black Sea fleets. The PRC decides to invade parts of Africa for resources and is unchallenged due to several fronts being opened. The Mexico front is pushed southward as the US makes its way into Mexico City, but the PRC pulls its troops out of southwestern Mexico and moves them to La Paz in Baja California. While the PRC is moving to La Paz the US sends part of its Pacific fleet to intercept, but is to late as the PRC is able to reach La Paz a day before the US gets there. The US annexes Canada for it's resources but doesn't allow Canada representation until the war ends. By year’s end the EF have control of western Russia, the PRC has control of eastern Africa, the US is able to overpower the PRC in Mexico, and Russia is on the verge of dropping out.

2028: Russia surrenders in early spring, after the EF is able to keep control of western Russia during the winter. The PRC is quick to invade eastern Russia as to gain its resources. The EF now focuses on the PRC as it pushes eastward towards China, the US plans for an invasion of mainland China after ripping the PRC’s Navy to pieces in the spring months. This plan is not made known to the public, due to the Democrats belief that they will lose the election if millions of American soldiers are to die due to an invasion. President Curry (D) pushes the fact that "the end is near and with him at the helm that America will win". VP Cunningham (D) decides to stay on the ticket to insure that Curry (D) is the right chose again to lead the nation. Utah Governor Greg Warren (R) and New York City Mayor Autumn Ellis (I) are the only two challengers that stand in the way of President Curry (D). Greg Warren (R) selects Senator John Branch of Washington (R) as his running mate, after it seemed that no one wanted the job and Autumn Ellis (I) picked Florida businessman Jack Locke (I) as hers, but once again Curry (D) wins big. The week following the election the US invades the PRC from the east and the EF invades from the north and west. C-Day (as the invasion day is known as) saw the loss of 12 million men in a matter of 24 hours, as the PRC lost 7 million, the US 2.75 million and the EF 2.25 million. A month later the US and European forces take Beijing and the PRC falls; bring an end to WWIII in late December.

270 to win, 335+104=539 (note PR and MR don't show up on the map)
Andrew Curry/Vanessa Cunningham (D): 372
Greg Warren/John Branch (R): 87

2029: The Treaty of Tokyo is signed on March 23, by China and article 132 of the treaty is the war guilt clause; China assumes all responsibilities for the outbreak of the war. Also, China surrenders all warships, submarines, airplanes, and all other military equipment; while allowing to have a standing army of 100,000 soldiers max. A vote is held in each of the Chinese providences, to decide if it is to stay with the new United Republic of China or to be its own country. Tibet is the only one to vote for independence, while the rest of the former PRC and ROC become the new United Republic of China. The Treaty of Warsaw is signed on April 12, by Russia and has to pay Europe 56 trillion Euros. Russia is annexed by the European Federation to insure that Russia’s war debt is paid in full. The United Doctrine goes in effect in America as vote is held in Canada and Cuba to decide the fate of the two American territories’. Cuba becomes the 53rd state; Quebec and Labrador become the 54th state of Quebec; British Columbia becomes the 55th state of New Columbia; Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island become the 56th state of Terra Nova; the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon are annexed by Alaska; Alberta becomes the 57th state; Saskatchewan becomes the 58th state; Manitoba becomes the 59th state; and Ontario becomes the 60th state. The Twenty-ninth Amendment is passed in September pushing the number of Representatives to 501 and changes the Presidential election to who every wins the most electoral votes wins.

2030: The world continues to rebuild after the war. North Korea and South Korea are reunited under the Tokyo Agreement in May. Africa falls into the hands of rebels in September, but a combination of US, European, and Indian forces are quick to oust out the rebels in former Chinese war controlled countries. While US troops continue to search for Chinese military equipment in November, they come across the Shanghai Project. The project is a super submarine that would be used to launch a prototype sea/aircraft. The Water Dragon, as it becomes known as, is about the size of an aircraft carrier, with 3 nuclear reactors, and would have been able to carry 100 Tiger Sharks, the prototype sea/aircraft.

2031: The US restarts the Shanghai Project, in hopes of staying the top military power in the world. The National Fair Marriage Act of 2031 is passed by a slim margin and is signed into law in June. The act allows for same sex and group marriages to take place as long as all members agree to the marriage. In October the Republic of Iran is formed after threats of invasion by European and American forces. In early December the US launches the first of five mars base set up missions, and the plans for the first space hotel are laid out for the world to see with millions reserving rooms just a week after the announcement.

2032: President Curry (D) announces that he will not run for reelection but endorses Vice-President Vanessa Cunningham (D) as the Democratic nominee. Senator John Branch of Washington (R) gets the heads up from Republicans beating Alabama Governor Lydia Edwards (C) who would get the nod from the Conservatives, and Florida Governor Jack Locke (L) is chosen as the Liberal nominee. VP Cunningham picks New Columbia Senator Eva Simmons (D) as her running mate, Nevada Governor Bruce Warren (R) gets tabbed by John Brach (R) to be his pick for VP, Utah Senator Greg Warren (C) moves to the Conservative Party as he is picked by Edwards (C), and Havana Mayor Alejandro Hernandez (L) is Locke’s (L) pick for VP. Vanessa Cunningham (D) wins a close election as each hopeful wins a near even number of states.

Note CU, PR, and MR don't show up on the map
Vanessa Cunningham/Eva Simmons (D): 287
John Branch/Bruce Warren (R): 114
Lydia Edwards/Greg Warren (C): 85

Did I say Democrats...I think I said Congress...in which the Democrats held the majority seats in both houses.

Off all the absurdities in this timeline, you ask about this?

Like what absurdities? Almost anything is possible in the future...it's not written in stone yet.

So does anyone besides Xahar and Straha think that he stole a ton of crap from my tl?

What? Sorry if any of it seems the same...I think I got the idea to do a time line from you, but when I was thinkin up the stuff, that was all me...I had trouble sleeping the night before with some of these ideas in my head...happens a lot to me...I have some more ideas...but they will take time to type up, since school is suppose to be my main focus right now.

You are not alone Ryan. I've now jumped on the bandwagon and forming a "Gang of Three" in the process. Not exactly the Chinese "Gang of Four", possibly because we don't have a Jiang Qing, but still its a group nonetheless (insert lame attempts at joke here).

Two quick queries, why has a vast majority of nations in the present day European Union formed to become the European Federation? Secondly, why did Barack Obama seek a third term in 2016 when its constitutionally impossible. And thirdly, what is happening in Australia at this moment in time. Has a person by the name of Conor Flynn entered politics yet? Tongue

Because that's what the EU is going to become in real life; each country doesn't want to give up all of it's control and thus they form a federation...does that make since to you?

The Democratic controlled Congress passes a new amendment if you reread...so he decides to take advantage and runs again...plus 3/4 of the states ratified the amendment the Republicans passed after FDR got elected to 4 terms...don't worry a change is coming in the upcoming years.

Well Australia has stayed out of world politics...including WWIII...so not much news is to be made...but rumors are floating around that Australia and New Zealand are forming sometype of union...just rumors...stay tuned and find out if it's true or not.
