Another key thing that seperates most third parties from the Big Two is that usually their Candidates have never held office before. If they could win a seat in Congress or a Governorship then they would be taken a little more seriously.

The problem with Libertarians winning in a state like Wyoming is that the Republicans would be able to hit them on social issues. Wyoming is socially conservative.

The best choice would be in a state that is socially liberal and economically conservative. However, none really springs to mind. Which is exactly why it would be hard for them to carry a state.

That's true, but Wyoming is socially conservative. I'm not confusing the two, but the average resident of Ten Sleep isn't going to be able to tell the difference. It will still be "un-Christian."
