Along with Jindal, Palin, Huckabee and Romney...I think he would seriously challenge Obama's re-election.

I wanted to root for him at the start on the republican side, but he never could interest me.

With that said unless he changes NO WAY.

Unless he gets kidnapped by aliens and boosted with a sudden infusion of energy, I think he's more likely to fall asleep for the next 4 years than to run for President again in 4 years.

Funny, his temperament was one of his selling points.  Methinks too many posters on this forum bought into a media "narrative."

Sadly, I doubt Fred will be interested in running in 2012.

How can I ever forget that interview he did with Hannity once. No energy at all, no drive or anything.
Hell that interview put me sleep.

I hope he gets a shot in the arm or something by 2012.

Yeah, too bad Lamar Alexander doesn't have a shot.

I assume you mean Fred, not Tom. If I am correct, nice attempt at a joke, Naso.

He seemed only moderately interested in being president. Which is refreshing.

Fred Thompson proved to be a terrible Presidential candidate in 2008.  There is no way he would do any better in 2012.

LOL.  Thompson was a failure this year; he'll be even worse in 4 years.

He would be 70 by inauguration day.  Younger than McCain was this year, yes, but pushing it considering the reputation acquired in '08.

He should probably film Baby's Day Out 2 instead.

Don't count out a Bill Frist comeback. Not that he'd win, but he's interested.

Has there been any news in TN of him running for governor?

Yes, he and Marsha Blackburn are the most often mentioned. Rep. Wamp a little, Lt. Gov Ramsey a little.

Seriously?  This is the first I've heard of that.  Are there any news articles out there that discuss this, or is this just something you've heard on the unofficial grapevine?

Frist should wait it out a little. He seems a bit too tied to the Bush years.
