Caught a small amount of Kerry on Letterman last night, and Kerry immediately lived up to his reputation o fbeing on both sides of an issue.

When asked where did he think the race was, Kerry said:
"The polls are narrowinging, the race is really close."

The very next question from Letterman was "Do you think a 5% gap is significant?
Kerry replied, "I don't pay any attention to polls".

(Quotes may not be exact but they are what I remember)
