You were a socialist at 11 years old? Not saying that's wrong but I didn't know anything about politics when I was 11.

Father:
1976: Ford
1980: ? (I think Carter, but I'm not sure)
1984: ? (I think Mondale, but I'm not sure)
1988: Dukakis
1992: Clinton
1996: Clinton
2000: Gore
2004: Nader (Though his official endorsement was "anyone but Bush")
2008: Ron Paul
2012: Obama

Mother:
1980: ?
1984: Mondale (Simply because she loves women in politics and was a huge fan of Geraldine Ferarro)
1988: Probably Dukakis
1992: Clinton (Bush came to my hometown on a campaign stop that year and she showed up with a huge Clinton/Gore button)
1996: Clinton
2000: Gore
2004: Kerry
2008: ? (I'm pretty sure Obama)
2012: ? (My dad and I successfully convinced her not to vote for Romney, but we have no idea who she ended up voting for. My guess would be Jill Stein based on her women in politics streak)

Why did your father vote Nader (instead of Kerry) in 2004 and Paul in 2008?
I was 12. And yes I was a socialist. A distant cousin of mine give me some literature.
