My Dad’s parents have been Republicans since the 70’s, (unusual for around here) though most of their siblings are or were until recently yellow dog dems.
In my part of Alabama there was an interesting dynamic where the older folks were much more democratic than the younger generations, but most of them have died off or switched allegiances now. My county was 87% Trump.
