Franken will win this race. The Democrats will make sure of it.

Absolutely, I'm very doubtful that Coleman has enough recount efforts.  There is very little scrutiny, or backlash against Coleman's large loss of votes.  It just doesn't make sense that Coleman would lose ~800 votes before the recount has even started.

he has?

Coleman +143 according to StarTrib, 30% recounted, but only 8% in Minneapolis.

it's becoming more difficult to continue to expect the worst.

I've not really been following this all that closely... who's favoured to win now [qm].

Franken is a 62.0 - 36.5 favorite on Intrade.

They appear to be ahead of the SoS right now, so this is the most current number.
How does a newspaper get the results before the agency in charge of counting the results? Huh

New ballots!

Does anyone know if we'll be able to find out which of the challenged ballots were counted? I really want to know what ends up happening to Lizard People

are the vote challenges the reason both candidates have lost votes as a result of the recount?

technically the guy voted for Norm Coleman for Judge 16.  perhaps the Coleman campaign will argue that the voter meant to cast the vote for Coleman for Senate.

Eh I don't really get why Coleman is supposed to be so evil, and thus don't care if he wins. Really couldn't care if Franken doesn't become a senator. Seriously he doesn't seem like a senator. I could buy him as a representative, I could also see him as governor, but not senator.

Coleman is a complete turncoat.  he's a former weed dealer who is now opposed to medical marijuana.  consider that, which is just a microcosm.

this gem also pisses me off:

I'm all for destroying democracy, but only when it benefits me!

What, you say that if such things become routinized, it could eventually hurt my wishes in a big way (Gore)?  No....

this would be retaliation for Gore

Roll Eyes

There are many reasons why I want this election to be over, and the shrill partisanship of the Dems on this board in their love for Al Franken is certainly one of them.

I'm not a Dem and I don't like Al Franken too much (although I think the idea of Senator Franken is inherently entertaining).  I just hate Norm Coleman sooo much omgggg

Wouldn't Washington 2004 be retaliation for Gore?

arguably but I don't really care about that

besides the people here that know about what happened there seem to think that it wasn't stolen

I thought it was 270.  Doesn't matter however.  It's already been determined that the final results will be Frankin by 27 votes.  You know, regression analysis by the world's foremost statistician.  Just ask him.

if you "just ask him" he will tell you that the MoE on his analysis is such that it only makes Franken the smallest of favorites.  stop distorting what the dude said.
