Will we ever have another president with facial hair? And why hasn't one run in sometime?

I think the modern perception of facial hair is that it is for the more casual/laid back man.  And for the most part I don't think that attitude plays well to voter.

Bill Richardson should've kept that bitchin beard.

Honestly, I think we will probably see it again.

I actually thought about posting a thread about facial hair but couldn't figure out what forum to put it in.

Hell, do we even have any senators or governors with facial hair?  The highest up guy I can think of facial hair is Alcee Hastings

Bill Richardson is badass.

I think Obama should grow a beard... not a long one, but like the one Ryan had in The Office when he was in New York.

Facial hair just isn't fashionable in this age, except for black guys.  Which leads me to believe that the next President with facial hair will be an African-American.

a white guy with a well-kempt, closely trimmed, white beard or goatee could perhaps be elected.

Absolutely not true at all. You're about 10 years behind my friend.

ND Gov. John Hoeven has a mustache.

Him, Corzine, and Paterson are the only 3 high-profile folks I can think of.
