Not republicans. They messed up the economy enough. The richer can't keep on getting richer.
Not libertarians cause you need some government to help maintain structure.
Democrats sound good to me. They want people to be free but at the same time have a safety net.

Democrates win!hooray!

Glad to see I'm not the only one to cross party lines here.
the reason that ppl have not done that is cause they are in the party that they want the country to be run by.

That's not what the topic is about.

It's about posters.  Forum posters are not the same as current party leaders.
I know. Here we did that same thing.

Not libertarians cause you need some government to help maintain structure.
You are confusing libertarians with anarchists again.  Please stop.  Libertarians don't want NO govt, we want LESS govt.  Huge difference.

Well if you get want you want then the least amount of government might be no government.

How could any amount of government be no government?

simply the fact that no government means it simply does not exists.

Of course, but that's not what I asked you. Smiley

How does 'least amount of government' mean no government? It's not logical.

With out going into negative #'s, what is the smallest #?

Considering you can't physically have zero of something, and still say you possess it, then least amount doesn't mean "none". Having even the smallest portion still counts as actually possessing some. Zero is a place holder digit, a concept. I may have the least amount of foresight here for falling into your trap, but I've still got some left. Smiley

zero is a #. If it was not then 1 and so on would not be #'s either.

I never said zero wasn't a number. It makes no difference, but the numbers one and so on were devised before the concept of zero was. I thought this thread is about politics.

Yes you did you siad "Zero is a place holder." It is I am saying if 1 is a # so is zero. So you could have zero of something.

Haha, it's fun talking to you. I said:

Zero is a number, but it has no physical equivalent. The least amount of government, in the libertarian view, still means government exists. It doesn't mean zero government, just a smaller one than what we have now, depending on the politicians in charge.

Oh now you hate zero. It has a meaning it is not just transparent. Zero hater.

I respect libertarians just like I try to go out of my way to respect to the Gopers here by finding common ground on issues ( in most cases iam more conservative then soft republicans).  I just think libertarianism would be dangerous in todays America. We need controls and regulations to keep the order, because leaving everything in the hands of the folks don't always work out so great. I have nothing but pure  admiration of both parties.  But the Democrats here are better suited to run the country.

Go dems! hooray!

A lot of the D-regulars like JSJourner, Lief, jFern, GMantis, etc. trend towards the HARD left economically. They're basically 'Social Democrats,' self-identified or not. Plus this forum is significantly to the left of the american discourse in general. In some ways that's great, in others not so much.

So you want atlasia to have a bad economic crisis. well... welll....
