This thread creeps me out occasionally.  Wink

It's not called the creepfest for nothing. Tongue And I'm not creeped out, I'm very flattered.

That's an awsome picture.

But it's not fair that you're so tall. I'm just around 184 cm, which makes you more than a decimeter taller than me. No fair, and you're three years younger. *grumbles*

Uhh, I don't know what all that means, but I'm going to guess it means that you are a lot shorter than me. Wink
It's fine, I know someone who had a growth spurt their Senior year. Maybe you won't be so short! Wink

I would imagine most Swedes are pretty tall.  6'6" is just kinda insanely tall.

People are pretty tall around here owing to German and Scandinavian heritage... though I think more of it has to do with nutrition than genetics.  It's always interesting to see how much taller immigrants' children are than them.  (the ones from Asia anyway)

I read somewhere that on average the Dutch are the tallest folks on the planet. Take that for what it is worth.

Here in Europe, the tallest people are the Montenegrins.
The average male height is 1,90m.

Yes, men average 6'1", while women average 5'10", which, um, is my height and the average for American men. What's more, it's a substantial increase over two generations. Dutch used to be shorter than Americans. The tallest countries in Europe are the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway... four countries that also have been fortunate not to have decimated large swathes of their army-sized men in the past 100 years.

Nothing Dutch about me! I may have mixed up my sentence there, but I'm the same height as a Dutch woman. (Which makes me tall by historic Jewish standards...)

According to wikipedia, Australians were the tallest in the world in the mid 19th-C, but now we're mid-table. Maybe an immigration thing, r just that we were ahead of the pack in nutrition and then the rest of the world caught up/overtook?

Immigration thing mayhaps... I wouldn't be surprised if there were a correlation between criminality and height, owing to an underlying cause of "YOU ARE CAN HAS TESTOSTERONE", or something.

A picture of me with my beautiful nephew/godson. I was horribly sunburnt and peeling, so I had to do a bit of photoshop so I wouldn't look as digusting.

I think it was done by country, and Montenegro may not have been independent yet.
