If the cuteness argument is being made, one cannot discount Eevee.

Nah, Eevee just looked like a terrier on crack.  Clearly Oddish, Ditto, Diglett, and Poliwag have the cute factor while simultaneously not making you want to strangle them for being the Pokemon-equivalent of a poodle.

Mr. Mime blows all others out of the water.

Had to be said.

I dressed up as Mr. Mime once for Halloween in elementary school.  No one got it, except for this girl dressed up as Pikachu.

We don't have many Italians in Minnesota.  I only knew the word from Harry Turtledove books.

That is awesome. How did you make it?

Felt and some sort of glue.  It means I have to put it up with thumb tacks, so I can't bring it with me to college Sad but I still love it!

Me and my siblings.

I'm top right and clockwise, Kevin, Joanne and Stephen. The original pic was a gift to my mum and dad.

Your sister looks like a young Shirley Manson (from Garbage).

That is meant as a compliment, BTW.

...have you met the poster Clay?

I read somewhere that on average the Dutch are the tallest folks on the planet. Take that for what it is worth.

Yes, men average 6'1", while women average 5'10", which, um, is my height and the average for American men. What's more, it's a substantial increase over two generations. Dutch used to be shorter than Americans. The tallest countries in Europe are the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway... four countries that also have been fortunate not to have decimated large swathes of their army-sized men in the past 100 years.

Ok Dutch Man.....put up  a pic.

According to wikipedia, Australians were the tallest in the world in the mid 19th-C, but now we're mid-table. Maybe an immigration thing, r just that we were ahead of the pack in nutrition and then the rest of the world caught up/overtook?

Immigration thing mayhaps... I wouldn't be surprised if there were a correlation between criminality and height, owing to an underlying cause of "YOU ARE CAN HAS TESTOSTERONE", or something.

I thought you guys were elitist enough to be members of a golf course. Tongue

I live here. Ever heard of it? Not elitist enough for you?

http://www.kiawahresort.com/

You don't have to be a member (although my family is a homeowner) if you can pay the $300 greens fees, they'll gladly take your money.
Shit, 300 dollars is ridiculously expensive. It looks like a nice course though.

You're 15. 300 dollars is not expensive. Tongue
That is about half of a week's pay...

For who?
Well for most Americans that is about a third of a week's pay. I expect to make less than that for a long time, at least until I graduate college.

Really? You think that on two, possibly three incomes, that 300 dollars is expensive?
I don't know how much money your parents make but for my family that is ridiculously expensive. My dad is obsessive about golf and he only goes to a golf course that expensive once a year.

Well right now the construction industry has slowed down a lot and my family only made about $500k last year. But I'm not entirely sure about Idaho's economy.

That puts you in the, oh, about top 0.01% of the nation in terms of income. Not a good barometer, by any stretch.

Put it this way. The top county for household income in the country in 2007 was Loudoun County, Virginia, which had a median household income of $107,207, just over a fifth of that of your family. The top municipality (with a population over 10,000) for household income was Hillsborough, California, which had a median household income of $193,157, still less than half that of your family.

Perhaps the "only" was in comparison to previous years, rather than in comparison to the rest of the country.

Funny thing, because most of my friends claim I look like Jewish of Italian, because (which you can't see threre), my skin is pretty dark for a white man

My brother-in-law is 100% Polish (his parents are off the boat) and he looks Italian.

Wow, if Poles looks like Italians, who's look Polish?

Lithuanians.

I also have Lithuanian bloos, along with Sorbian, Jewish and Ukrainian... so, how I'm supose to looks like?

This was insulting beyond any recongition
Meh. It was the most usable result to come up in a google image search for "typical Pole" or "cliché Pole" (in German, actually). I was hoping for an ashblonde guy with a headshape rather like the Kaczynskis and preferrably a small moustache... Smiley

Indeed.. but they all look kind of American as well.  For example, a kid used to ride my school bus that look EXACTLY like Swedish Cheese... and I knew a girl that looks like the one in the fairy costume.

That's because everyone in Minnesota is Scandinavian.

Not true.

Very true.  Every single Minnesotan is Scandinavian.  This is a proven fact.

I thought all Indians ran corner shops/worked in factories/worked on public transport/worked for the council Tongue
Indians run corner shops. Or internet cafes. Or Indian restaurants. Or Italian eateries of the cheapest class.

Oh, and here in Frankfurt, over half of them seem to be Muslims from Hyderabad.
(Well, half the Indians of the type described above.)

I think this is rather why the stereotypes of South Asians are very different between Europe and the U.S.  Here, all South Asians are either doctors or engineers (and will only permit their children to be such) Wink
