Forgive me because this is the first time I'm actually reading into this, but what's the craziest possible outcome?  Obama is not a natural-born citizen and Congress amends the Constitution so that he's qualified?

First, I doubt if there will be four votes for review.  More likely they will refer it to a District Court for a finding of facts (trial).  Excellent possibility the result will be where the court does not want to know (i.e. even if true, it opens a can of worms).

Second, Congress cannot by itself amend the Constitution.  It requires the concurance of three quarters of the states.

Third, there are no ex post facto laws allowed.
