As per more recent events, the reason this thread was bumped was because Steevie prorogued Parliament for a second time this year, but without any convincing official reasoning (except that 'their legislation has been passed' and 'the results of our economic action plan [lol] will be better known in April' and 'we will start the new year with new policies') though with the hidden reason of closing down a parliamentary investigation into the Afghan detainees issue, which has the potential to hurt the PurgaTories.

The Liberals have come back from the abyss in polling only slightly, and the rest is, in the wider realm of things, statistical noise. And nobody wants an election in these conditions, and the Liberals will probably wait until end of 2010/early 2011.

It's really sad to see how two parties that could easily ally and reach a compromise on a sane platform seem instead to prefer being in opposition and letting an ultraconservative government at power.
