Only statement 1, I think.  Statement 2 certainly isn't.

None are unequivocally true.
Most 2008 Nader voters probably haven't voted for a Democrat for President since at least 1988, if ever, so the claim that Nader might have cost Democrats anything is pretty specious.
McCain would have to have pick almost every single Barr vote to win Indiana, so that statement is unequivocally untrue.
The sanest statement is the one on North Carolina, but I very much doubt even that one. Too many of those disappointed Republicans included in that tally would have just skipped the President's race, or even voted Obama.

I probably should have added a NOTA option.

None of them: most Barr and Nader supporters were voting for Neither Obama nor McCain, as evidenced by the fact that Barr did best in states where Nader wasn't on the ballot. Also, I doubt more than one third of Nader's supporters would have otherwise supported Obama, or that more than one third of Barr's supporters would have otherwise supported McCain.

The first is probably the most plausible, but I don't think any of them are true.

I really do think that Obama could have scooped up around 4,000 of those Nader votes if he hadn't been on the ballot.

This.  I used to subscribe to the whole spoiler theory, but now I just think that if a person wanted to vote for major candidate _____, they would have done that instead of voting for "spoiler" candidate ______, wouldn't they have?  I mean, it's not like people didn't know who they were voting for, there wasn't a candidate Brock O. Bama or James McKain that confused people, then I might say that that candidate cost them votes, but only with people who weren't paying close enough attention anyway.

Whilst the first option does seem the most plausible of the three, none of them of course, are true.
