Offshoring of jobs is a hot button issue in this primary race.  Is this playing with fire for the Democrats?  If Kerry, Edwards, or anyone else starts raising expectations that they're going to change things, do they not risk having it bite them in the rear?  Afterall, if AT&T wants to move a call center to India, what's the President going to do to stop it?

The President can support a compensating tax credit for every job kept in the U.S. until the unemployment rate/job creation rate fully recovers.

Trade policy and US manufacturing generally will be a big issue.  Tort reform, tax cuts, and such would trim 22% off the expenses of a factory-- making them much more competitive with foreign factories.
