Congratulations MSUfan - I'm glad things went well here, and hopefully it'll lead you to feeling comfortable enough to talk about this with more of your friends. As for your family, it's a bit tricky...as you've said, being bi sorta gives you an excuse to just leave it, but then you're not letting them totally into your life which would probably be the ideal situation. It's not really something any of us can advise on, you know them best and will be able to work out the best course of action when the time is right Smiley

This thread has made me think about my own experience of coming out...I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since I first told somebody in person. Makes me feel ancient since I remember it like it was yesterday Smiley

Don't worry, I don't think people can accuse you of attenton whoring when it's in a thread you've created yourself. That's what I would assume, at least Smiley

so, you're saying there's something wrong with being, let's say, non-straight?
Personally yeah but I really don't hold it against people.  Kind of in the way that I think being a liberal is stupid but I don't hold it against people.  But what I do hold against people is when they live a lie
That's very easy for a straight man to say though, isn't it? You're never gonna have people threatening violence (or to disown you) for being honest about who you fancy.
