Smiley

Now I'm praying he calls leaders of the Religious Right 'agents of intolerance' and once more will oppose the Bush Tax Cuts. Then the Mac will be back to his pre-2001 status, or so I would like to think...

I would hope so, it's not like he has anything to prove besides salvaging his reputation as one of the last bastions of sanity in his party. Although I think everyone deep down knows McCain wouldn't have made the tax cuts permanent anyway. IMO he's like a more honorable version of Bush I.

Remember when Gore didn't back Lieberman but backed Dean?

It happens

Joke party?

I'm having a hard time finding the links to stories about Gore endorsing Lieberman and Kerry endorsing Edwards. Can you help?

And just for the record, CNN, this is definitely not McCain's first TV appearance since losing the election.

Personal Question:  In what ways do David Paterson and Conan O'Brien summarize your beliefs?

To energise the base of the party, who were not terribly enthusiastic about McCain. It sort of worked, too, just that they were all energised around the bottom half of the ticket.

I hope McCain grows some balls now that this awful campaign is over. This is a decent sign but nothing huge.. and Christ, can we please not let the media begin obsessing over 2012 already?

If anyone?  Is there some doubt that the GOP will nominate someone for president in 2012?

If Bush could win, Palin could win. I seriously doubt there are that many people that think he is smarter than she is. We got lucky this year with McCain. Had we had a half decent candidate we would have won by double digits.

In his first Sunday political TV appearance since November 4, McCain also promised to work to build consensus in tackling America's challenges, and criticized his own party for its latest attack on Obama.
