Suppose that instead of what happened this year, we had the tickets above. Biden easily defeats most of the other Democratic candidates. His only real rival is Clinton, but he is able to overcome her. He selects Bob Casey for VP. Meanwhile, Rudy Giuliani, the Republican frontrunner from the beginning, is the nominee, and he selects the second place winner, John McCain, for running mate. What would the outcome be?

We'd have some great laughs, that's for sure.

Pennsylvania, with two native Keystone Staters on the ticket, would be safe D. Tongue

Honestly though, both of those VP choices are horrible. Biden/Casey would probably out socially conservative Rudy and McCain, doing very well with blue collars.

The Dem candidates would certainly not be nearly as strong or charismatic, but George W Bush and the Republican GOP have demonstrated to the country that they can't run the country so ultimately Biden/Casey win.

Is there a non-Republican GOP?

Biden would lose my vote because of his VP pick.
