I'd like to see a Kucinich county map, actually.

Just color it blue.  Keebler Elf claims he sees UFOs.

Are you f***ing kidding me?  How many times must it be said that Kucinich merely said he saw something ONE TIME in the sky that he didn't know what it was.  He didn't make it an issue AT ALL, the media did.

Chill out dude.  I'm merely reporting what the "MEDIA WOULD DO" which would therefore determine the election.

I think that Kucinich would be destroyed in the public sphere, what do you want me to say?

And besides, if the idiot had any media savvy, all he would have to do is deny it.

That would be against which Republican? Also, who are the VPs?

it doesn't matter unless it's like Tancredo or something.  Just subtract 30% from every county on the 2008 map

I doubt Kucinich would have tried to impeach Cheney if he were winning the democratic primary. As for the socialist arguement it didn't hurt Obama at all and I think Kucinich would have done no worse than Kerry as long as he tried to act a little more moderate.

Kucinich barely eked out 50% in his Congressional primary.  The guy is a perennial joke and his own district just barely tolerates him.  He'd be the worst Democratic candidate in the history of the country.  McCain would have made a mockery of him.

Kucinich beat Palin?  Hahahhaa.

Both have limited bases, but Palin's is a LOT bigger.

Kucinich loses big time to McCain because McCain is a credible candidate and Kucinich is not. However, Palin is not a credible candidate, either. She may have a larger base but she still can't string three words together into a coherent sentence. In 2008, the Democratic base is much larger than the Republican base. Kucinich may be a kook but Palin is clueless and over her head. I think turnout would be abysmal and I can't fully predict what would happen, but Palin couldn't win nationally in a rout under any circumstances short of the most extreme.

No, the actual county map from the primaries.

Kucinich as a Dem nominee IS the most extreme circumstance Smiley

In order for Kucinich to have gotten the nomination, something really weird would have had to happen to make him a credible candidate.  Once he saw he had a shot, I'm sure he would start acting normal and do fine.  In fact, the really weird circumstance that gave him the nomination would probably sweep him into the White House.

Most likely scenario that gives Kucinich the nomination  - something tragic happening to all of the other candidates at the last second.

He still loses.

The difference is that Kucinich advocates a "Department of Peace" and single payer healthcare, and Obama doesn't.  Those are absolute radical positions that would be tough to soften.

2004 I assume, when he wasn't a total joke candidate.
