If Obama is capable of winning 70%+ in big states like New York, I'm pretty sure he'll have to popular vote locked up.

A random Republican backbencher will run for the nomination,  but lose.

Biden does not run in 2012 and Obama replaces him with, by then, former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.

Mitt Romney easily wins Republican nomination and picks Jim DeMint to be his running mate.

Obama carries Missouri and Arizona. He wins re-election easily.

Obama becomes the first presidential candidate since 1964 who gets more than 80% of the vote in a state (Hawaii).

I imagine this response was supposed to be sarcastic, though it's really hard to tell in print. That said, I'll second it.

Obama won 47% of Orange County, CA in 2008... if Obama achieves anything close to a landslide, Orange County will probably vote for him.

If Obama does badly in the next 4 years, then I'm for Ron Paul in 2012.

I don't think I could get any more bold than the prediction that Obama will kick Palin's ass in 2012 without lying

A Libertarian for Ron Paul, I've never seen anything so bold

If Obama wins by a margin greater than or equal to that of '08 he wins WV.

It's quite coincidental how Libertarianism exploded in popularity once Carter closed the mental institutions isn't it?

Joe Biden volunteerily resigns from VP or dies perhaps and Obama picks Evan Bayh or Mark Warner to beat Mitt Romney in the general and still wins holding his own in the states he won last time, but losing a few and picking up possibly MO or AZ.

I'm going to say Obama loses to Mitt Romney in an extremely close election as inflation concerns and a still soft economy are the focus of the average American voter. That and the usual GOP fear mongering with terrorism may work a little again.

I don't see how Mitt could benefit from any "fear mongering", as he has zero foreign policy experience and his campaign would likely avoid focusing on it (especially when running against the sitting CiC).

He was the incumbent President.  He had overseen the response to 9/11, the invasion of two countries, and the enrolling of the Patriot Act.  You don't count that as national security / foreign policy experience?

He didn't win on national security in 2000.

My whole point is, Obama never ran on defense, If anything remotely comes close to being a scare during these 4 years, it does not matter which Republican gets the nod, they will be seen as tougher on national security, because the GOP has run on that... Now of course the GOP also screws it up, but what haven't they screwed up as of late?

Unfortunately Obama could very well end up the victim of many GOP mistakes from Bush and be reduced to one term.
