Assuming nothing changes next turn...looks like 19-13-1-1.

Damn, that's impressive.  19 SCs.

Thank you, Lunar, for helping me to survive this game, and sorry that I couldn't have been more help.

Congrats to Jas.

And thank you, Smid, for putting this game on.

Should we just submit our final moves now?

If people submit their moves, I'll adjudicate when all orders are received, unless someone says with their orders that they would prefer me to hold off until the weekend.

Thanks guys. Smiley
It's not an empire built to last, so I'm glad I snuck into a majority just in time.

Particular thanks to HappyWarrior for conveniently disappearing on Round 1 Wink

Kudos to Smid also - it's not an easy task to keep a game lkike this running for so long, but he managed it with a minimum of disruption and dispute.

Well, this obviously would never have happened with ME leading Russia.

Odd showing Lewis. I really thought you would win this.

But congratulations are in order for Jas.

Assuming the Fall goes as expected, I believe this is the best Diplomacy game that the Forum has seen. Props to Smid and to the players, especially those who came in after the first move (and in Jas' case go on to win.)

Everybody's submitted their orders, so I'm going to adjudicate it tonight unless someone changes their mind between now and then.

The moves for Fall 1915 held a few surprises, thanks Lewis for making the final turn more interesting than might have otherwise been the case! Jas also took the opportunity to convoy to Tunis. Lunar moved to the usually unused (except for a few times by Jas this game) Syria. Lewis targetted just about every place on the map which usually wouldn't appear in anyone's orders (Jas could have taken Belgium and Kiel, Lunar could have reclaimed St Petersburg).

France
F Adriatic Sea Convoys A Venice - Tunis
A Budapest Supports A Rumania
F Bulgaria (sc) - Constantinople
A Gascony - Spain
F Ionian Sea Convoys A Venice - Tunis
A Munich Supports A Ruhr - Burgundy
A Paris Supports A Ruhr - Burgundy
A Ruhr - Burgundy
A Rumania Holds
A Smyrna Supports F Constantinople - Ankara
F Spain (sc) - Portugal
A Venice - Tunis
A Vienna Holds

Russia
A Armenia - Syria
A Galicia Supports A Prussia - Warsaw
A Moscow Supports A Prussia - Warsaw
A Prussia - Warsaw
A Ukraine Supports A Moscow

Italy
A Sevastopol Supports A Moscow

Germany

Austria-Hungary

England
F Belgium - Holland
A Berlin Supports A Warsaw - Silesia
F Brest Supports A Paris - Gascony (*Void*)
F Denmark - Sweden
F English Channel - Wales
F Kiel - Denmark
A Livonia Holds
F Mid-Atlantic Ocean - Irish Sea
F North Atlantic Ocean - Clyde
F North Sea - Yorkshire
A Picardy - Burgundy (*Fails*)
A St Petersburg - Finland
A Warsaw - Silesia

The final map is:

I've changed the title of this thread so we can start a new game in future.

Thanks everyone for playing and thanks also for your support!

Congratulations Jas!

Thank you to Ben, Erc, Gustaf, Jas, Lewis, Lunar, Mikado and Xahar for participating! It's been a pleasure adjudicating this and I hope you all felt that I was neither unfair nor harsh in my decisions. I'm looking forward to starting up a new one - probably within the next couple of days, certainly by the end of the week.

Haha, clever Jas.  I was thinking of movin to Ankara to try and get me an extra supply center just in case Warsaw didn't work out

I never knew you could move from Southern Spain, which I thought meant inside the Med. to Portugal.  Interesting

As Turkey was my single biggest frustration in the game, I felt it right and proper to instruct units to take over the territory in preparation for salting its earth.

Five of the original units survived the game, including all three of mine! I declare Victory!

My original Edinburgh Fleet moved to the Norwegian in Spring 01, the North Atlantic in Fall 02, the Norwegian in Spring 04, the Barents Sea in Spring 05, the Norwegian in Spring 14 (when you'd think it ought to have taken root by then Grin ), the North Atlantic in Fall 14, the Mid Atlantic in Spring 15 and the Irish Sea in Fall 15.
My original London Fleet moved to the North Sea in Spring 01, to Belgium in Fall 01, the Netherlands in Spring 02, the Bight in Fall 04, Denmark in Fall 06, the Baltic in Fall 07, had to retreat to Denmark after Fall 08, moved to the North Sea in Fall 10, the Bight in Fall 11, the Netherlands in Spring 14, Belgium in Fall 14 and the Netherlands in Fall 15.
My original Army moved from Liverpool to Edinburgh in Spring 01, to by convoy to Norway in Fall 01, by convoy to Denmark in Fall 02, to Kiel in Fall 03, the Netherlands in Spring 06, by convoy to Norway in Fall 06. After this highly adventurous youth, it moved only once more, in Fall 09 to St Petersburg.

The other two surviving units are both Jas':
His original Fleet moved from Brest to Picardy in Fall 01, to Belgium in Fall 02, retreated to Picardy after Spring 03, moved to Brest in Spring 04, the Mid Atlantic in Fall 04, the W Med in Spring 05, the Gulf of Lion in Fall 05, the Tyrrhenian in Fall 08, the Ionian in Spring 09, Naples in Fall 09, Rome in Spring 10, Naples in Spring 13, the Ionian in Spring 14, Greece in Fall 14, and the Ionian again in Spring 15.
But it is Jas' original Paris army that deserves the Oscar for Best Original Unit*.
It moved to Burgundy in Fall 01, the Ruht in Spring 02, Kiel in Spring 03, retreated to the Ruhr after Fall 03, moved to Munich in Spring 05, Bohemia in Fall 05, Galicia in Spring 06, Warsaw in Fall 06, Ukraine in Spring 07, Sevastopol in Fall 07, Armenia in Spring 08, Ankara in Fall 08, Constantinople in Spring 09, Ankara in Fall 10, retreated to Smyrna after Fall 11, retreated to Syria after Spring 12, moved to Smyrna in Fall 13, retreated to Ankara after Fall 14, and moved to Smyrna in Spring 15.

A honorary mention is due to Gustaf's - later Lunar's - original Warsaw army, ungraciously disbanded by the Tsar in the Winter of 1914-15 after over a dozen years of dedicated service.
It moved to Galicia in Spring 01, to Budapest in Fall 02, to Serbia in Spring 05, to Romania in Fall 06, to Galicia in Spring 07, to Romania in Fall 07, to Sevastopol in Spring 08, to Armenia in Fall 08, to Ankara in Spring 09, to Smyrna in Spring 10, to Armenia in Spring 11, to Syria in Fall 13, and to Armenia in Spring 14.

*Best Adapted Unit goes to the surviving Italian, levied at the end of 1902 or 1903 IIRC.

Your other three original units all died violent deaths*, so I suppose those Polish-Armenian veterans should still count themselves lucky. Grin

*The northern fleet in Sweden in Fall 05, the southern fleet in Naples in Fall 09, and the Muscovite army in Tuscany in Spring 12.

Ugh. I think that was when I gave up the game, since Erc's failure to hand in orders for that turn doomed me.

Yeah...I messed up an unfortunate amount this game.  Some of them were stupid, some of them were just egregious (like forgetting about the game until Saturday evening that time).

At some point I'll give a tell-all memoir in the other thread (not that there's much to tell apart from things that will just embarrass myself).
