This vote is open to residents of the Mideastern Region only.  The vote will remain open for 72 hours, until midnight EDT on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

PART I - Regional Capital
In last week's general election, two cities tied for the most votes to become our regional capital, forcing a run-off:
- College Park, MD
- Detroit, MI

Please vote for ONE of the these cities.  Write-ins are NOT permitted in this election.

PART II - Constitutional Referendum

While the region has previously voted by referendum NOT to adopt a constitution, the turnout in that vote was very low, so I will bring the issue up again.  Please vote YES or NO as to whether we should adopt a regional constitution as the other regions have.

If a majority of voters vote YES on this I will assemble a constitutional convention following the upcoming presidential election.  If a majority vote NO, we will remain a common law state, at least for the rest of my term as Governor.

As always, please do not change your vote once it has been cast.

I am loathe to close the voting with such low participation....I don't think we have a quorum on anything.

I will leave the voting booth open for another 24 hours if anyone else wants to have their voice heard on these issues.

YES, YES, YES Smiley

Why can't the capital building be Cole Field House? They don't use it anymore, but they would never detonate it. Just furnush it up a little, and pretty soon 15,000 people can watch you govern the reigon.

Are you a fiscally conservative Republican? This would be a great way to save money. But it's the Governors choice, really.

Good choice, Dubya2004! I think it has a lot of support, so why not?

The Constitution vote tied 3-3 with one abstain. Does the thing fail or will there be another vote?

I don't know...it was a pretty informal vote really.
I originally said I would call the convention in the event of a tie, but this is an awfully tepid response.
