two questions who wins and who carries Hawaii?
FWI I like the Lingle/Portman ticket to win... but not to carry Hawaii

Linda Lingle as the Republican nominee? What's next, Walter Mondale 2016?

Republicans carry Hawaii. Why? Because this is already so completely implausible that adding something else implausible is negligible.

Hickenlooper is quite an underestimated Democratic possibility, IMO. Considering 2012 Portman probably wouldn't object to a Veep nomination either, though he doesn't seem to really want a presidential run.

Now, neither of the two Hawaiians will be on a major ticket.

Quote of the day.

Seriously, though, if you're going to make hypothetical match ups, at least use candidates that have at least a small chance of running. I forgot Linda Lingle existed until I saw this.

Lingle got crushed... her career is over. Even if she won, which with Obama on the top of the ticket it's already over, she wouldn't have really had much chance.

He's still a nobody for the American electorate.

Yeah, Hawaii's not what I'd call an important swing state so that both tickets would have someone from the islands.
