Good lord, with all the issues facing the country, the leg humpers of The Messiah focus on drivel like this and what kind of dog he's getting. This is really embarassing and it's out of control.
While I agree that the Obamania has gone over the top a bit there really hasn't been anything else to talk about since the election. Once Obama made his cabinet choices there was even less to discuss. Of course there are serious problems to be dealt with but its not like Obama could have enacted any policies or actually done anything that would have had a significant impact on anything up until now. Besides, sometimes its healthy to let your problems go and talk about something silly for a while. With so many things going bad I think the country should be forgiven for taking a few months off to talk about the Obama's dog.
