Democrats choose Soctt Murphy

This site has the only picture I could find, and it also has a little bio thing.

Murphy's turning out to be a good candidate. He's been campaigning a lot in Hoosick Falls, opened an office in Saratoga Springs(actually Gillibrand's old one), has gotten other people to campaign with him, like Schumer and Tonko of NY-21, made fun of Tedisco's leadership for not deciding whether to support or oppose the stimulus, and seems like the more open candidate, especially with the whole debate issue. He was also endorsed by Public Employees Federation, which has about 59,000 workers in the district.

I'm confident. Smiley

When the seat was vacant, did you assume there was a Republican advantage? The whole candidate selection was weird to begin with since there was no primary and the Republicans seem to be stuck with the more... awkward candidate and that probably cancelled out any advantage there was.

Nobody knows who the fu ck Murphy is. If he doesn't change that, game over.
Don't worry, Tedisco's on that by not accepting debates!

Ah, you shouldn't worry. When the debates happen and more coverage happens as the election day gets closer, there'll be less "no opinion"s of Murphy. Smiley

The Libertarian candidate has twice the needed signatures to be on the ballot.

The DCCC is airing ads finally. I hope they air pro-Murphy ads too, though...

Everyone and their mom is now bringing up a poll that has Tedisco at 44 and Murphy at 37. Except it was done around February 25. I'd like more recent polls if there are gonna be any. Sad

Tedisco's taking control of his campaign and isn't accepting help from the RNC...

He wants significant middle class tax cuts, which was in the stimulus, but he won't say whether he supports it or not!

I know, but to do it now when Murphy's surging(ok I say surging, but really there were only like 3 polls so it's more like people are starting to know him) and with two and a half weeks to go when more people are paying attention, it's a good time to play the Gillibrand card. Smiley

Like the President says, "In these difficult times, we're not Republicans or Democrats, we're Americans." And that's the team I'm on.

Heh.

Wow, the GOP Trust Quack is angry that its stupid ad was taken off the air? Roll Eyes...

I'm wondering if Tedisco's new "positive" campaign is code for "hide the fact that I'm a Republican" campaign.

Republican and Conservative congressional candidate turned down an invitation to participate in the WMHT/Times Union debate on Thursday because he already had his own multi-media event planned, said Adam Kramer, a spokesman.

Tedisco will conduct a “Jim Tedisco in 3-D” campaign forum at 7 p.m. Thursday at his campaign headquarters in Halfmoon, Kramer said.

It'll be Murphy and Sundwall only.

Well unless NY-20 is some crazy 2D dimension, I'm sure just meeting Tedisco would be an encounter in 3D. Tongue
