Will we ever see another election where at least one of the four candidates (Rep and Dem President and VP nominees) is not a female or a minority?

As a related question, will the Democrats ever run an all white-male ticket again?

Probably not.

EDIT: Thought you meant to ask "will we ever see another election where at least one of the four candidates is a female or a minority", in which case, the answer is 'no'. I fully expect both Parties to have at least one on each ticket from here on out.

Possibly, if, as I suspect, a realignment solely occurs where the Democrats become the conservative Party and the Republicans pass through a populist phase before becoming liberal.

1.) Yes, it's possible, though I think minorities will have more influence.

2.) Almost certainly.

Yes (of course) to both questions.

I just hope that running an all-white ticket won't make the candidates seem like racists...

We'll have a White Male/White Male vs White Male/White Male election at LEAST three more times. After that, it'll be unlikely, Unless you count Hispanic as white in 2050

2. almost cetainly.

We certainly won't go through another all white male primary ever again.

I think its still possible that we could see a top four white male election again but we're definitely moving away from that.

The Democrats will eventually run another ticket with two white men but probably not in the near future.

We're probably heading into a phase where there is no glass ceiling.  Barack Obama shattered his and Hillary Clinton severly damaged (in a good way) hers.  Hillary Clinton says the glass ceiling is still intact with 18 million cracks in it, but I believe with the election of Barack Obama that the glass ceiling for minorities has been broken and I believe will only be a matter of time where women and minorities as well as white men all become the norm in the top four.  Remember, in the 2008 election, for better or for worse, there were only two white men in contention, Vice President Joe Biden and Senator John McCain.  Barack Obama, of course, is a half-black, half-white president, but still considered an African-American and Sarah Palin was, of course, a woman.  It was nice to know that no matter who won, the glass ceiling over either the minorities or the women was going to be broken no matter what.  It just happened to be that the minorities won first, but the women's ceiling is so fragile now that Barack Obama will help to loosen it up more that within the next 12 years (by 2020) we'll likely see a woman elected either President or Vice President.  Based on how far Hillary Clinton came to the nomination, I suspect it won't take much for that ceiling to break.  Having said that, I don't think its very likely that we'll have an election with NO white men running.  I won't say never, but its very unlikely at this point.  Talk to me in another 10-20 years and I might have a different answer for you.

Both will happen every now and then, but neither will be the norm.

If and when the first Jewish candidate wins a party's nomination - and that candidate is more than likely be male - the candidate may "play it safe" and pick a white male VP running mate.  The same probably is true for the first LDS member to win a party's nomination.  Since diversity means religion as well as gender and race, future all white male four candidate elections - and all white-male Democratic tickets - will probably display more religious diversity.
