Not mentioned yet:

Throwing a perfect strike with a bullet proof vest on

Megaphone speech on rubble.

-No major terrorist attack on US Soil.  I would have put very long odds on this Sept 12. 2001. He is certainly not personally responsible for this but some policies helped
-Despite severe mismanagement from the outset of the War, I'm glad Saddam swung from a rope.
-Finally listening to reality and employing the surge.
-Aids related and overall increased funding in Africa.

I believe Bush's failure came down to his hubris, stubborness  and a lack of overall plan.  So many decisions were ad hoc.

I find the "no terrorist attacks on US soil argument" to be incredibly stupid. Just because there weren't any after 9/11 (except the anthrax), doesn't mean that we should completely overlook the fact that he was president DURING THE MOST DEADLY TERRORIST ATTACK IN UNITED STATES HISTORY. He is certainly not wholly responsible for not preventing 9/11 (though he probably could have read that "Al'Qaeda determined to strike targets in the United States" report), but neither is wholly responsible for the lack of attacks in the seven years since.

The anthrax only affected Democratic Senators. Of course it's not a terrorist attack.

But seriously, you should be talking specifically about Bush's failures: The 8/06/01 PDB. Other warnings from Richard Clarke, Gary Hart, and the Bush administration, which were also ignored. Bush's month long August 2001 vacation. The capture of "the 20th hijacker" by the FBI, who seemed like to like to like learning how to fly planes, but not the taking off or landing parts. Some FBI investigator wrote down "maybe wants to fly plane into WTC". The FBI wanted to investigate more into his Saudi ties, but the WH said back off.

Bush needs to be in prison for this sh**t.

The one I will always like the most is the Do Not Call List (I am serious).

That's it! That's what I was thinking of!

Avoiding the shoes! Both!

I don't like how popular becomes this "attempt" and that people here or there enjoy themselves so much to repeat this action. That's stupid and violent...

That's not because someone has been stupid and violent toward you, that you should feel allowed to be stupid and violent too, no matter scales, principles don't care about scales...

Well I approved of:

1) Vetoing SCHIP
2) His handling of Hurricane Katrina (compared to the Louisiana State and Local Government)
3) His initial response to 9-11, and keeping us free from another terrorist attack since then.
4) The transitition from Bush to Obama.
5) Helping the African Continent.
6) The humor!

George Bush handled the Katrina affair expertly, just like Bill handled the whole Monica Lewisnky thing perfectly without mistakes

I'm not really sure why people with negative econ. scores are hating on SCHIP. Anyone mind explaining that one to me?

Same here.  I mean, I get why conservatives hate the measure, but liberals?  I thought it was a fine piece of legislation.

He was a pretty good chearleader the few weeks/months after 9-11.  Roberts was a pretty good pick.  I think that's it.

Since it's been in the news a lot lately, I'll choose this.

When it came to either get information, which could save soldiers' lives, from murdering bastards, or deciding to protect and enhance their comfort, Bush chose the former.

- Do Not Call List
- Indian policy (good US-India relations are going to be very important in the future)
- support for Uribe in Colombia (I'm not so hot on the drug war, but the FARC are bastards regardless).
- help to Africa
- yes, vetoing SCHIP
- picking Bolton for UN representative (I'm not sure if he's the best foreign policy pick, but he's the PERFECT pick for the UN. I think Obama should choose him for the post Wink ).
- attempting social security reform (he got shot down though. A lot of stuff the country needs ASAP is untouchable)

Not much else, really.
