...in the Republican primary Tongue

http://www.politico.com/blogs/scorecard/0209/Bennett_to_face_primary.html#comments

Utah did throw out a long-time congressman, Chris Cannon, in the primary last year, so it's not unreasonable for Leavitt to at least be a strong challenger.  I assume he's challenging Bennett from the right, as Chaffetz did Cannon.

Yeah I saw that, but refrained from posting that.  Has Bennett once voted in a way the Utah GOP electorate would prefer otherwise?  Also, this “challenger” is a perennial loser and a nobody

Sorry, Bennett isn't vulnerable to a primary, or general, election challenge.  The seat is his until he retires or dies.

...Which is exactly the issue Chaffetz based his entire campaign against Chris Cannon on. And won, quite solidly. Don't underestimate the challenge.

(Yes, Leavitt lost to Chaffetz and Cannon in the initial part of that race. But that was more because the ultra-conservatives consolidated behind Chaffetz than because Leavitt was a particularly bad candidate.)

I formally and unequivocally underestimate the challenge.  Bennett wins easily.

Bennett doesn't have a history of being challenged in constant primaries, is a reliable conservative almost always, and doesn't have this page-long section of his wikipedia file: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Cannon#Controversies
