this chart shows the dynamics of a good that is used primarily as a store of value better than gold, IMO, but it follows the same trend: secular rise from July 07 to March 08, stagntion from March 08 to July 08, decline from July 08 to November 08, and rise since November 08. The silver rally has been harder than the gold rally. I suspect it's a better value because there are fewer players.
