I wish they would poll people who will actually run. Not that I don't know the result, anyway.

I'm glad that Princess Fiona isn't doing so terribly.

I find the idea of that joke Fiorina running stronger than Arnold a little hard to believe.

Well... I don't think much people are banking on her running anyway. Battling cancer and all...

And the opposition research writes itself.  I imagine Fiorina's approvals will drop if the public actually found out what her career at HP actually looked like

Schwarzenegger is termed out in 2010 according to Politics1.com.  Is that incorrect?  I know he'll have served only a little more than 7 years as Governor when his current term ends but if California has a two-term limit for Governors I would think he would be termed out next year.  But I don't know how the relevant California law reads.

You're correct but I don't think you're looking at the board name or thread title.

She's not the governor of California, which is a plus.

Yeah but she's Carly Fiorina.

I know that she was a terrible CEO, but I'm explaining why she polls better than Arnold. Arnold got to replace Davis because of budget problems, and Arnold didn't do a damn thing to fix California's budget problems, so needless to say, he's not too popular right now.

California tends to be a 10% GOP deficit state all things being equal.

Wow, I didn't think Boxer was in a position to be dragged below 50%.  Is she not as popular as I assumed?

Boxer has never been that popular. The republicans could take this seat if they ran somebody sane but they refuse to do it.

Oh yeah, my bad.  I didn't think Barbara Boxer was interested in running for Governor.  From what I've heard about her, I don't think she'd be particularly well suited for it, unlike Diane Feinstein who ran for Governor in 1990 and whose name I have heard mentioned as a possible 2010 candidate for Governor.  (I don't know how credible that is, but that's a topic for the Gubernatorial/Statewide Elections board.)

Feinstein was mayor of S.F. at one point, so I could see her wanting to be Governor. But yeah, this isn't really the place to talk about it.
