It is, of course, possible that this was just an accident. I mean, there's obviously a very good chance that that's not so, but...

Maybe it truly is an accident, since the intended target survived to tell the story.

Well, it's not like they showed a good track record of competence, even at villainy.

I can't remember agreeing with any of your posts as much as this one.  Hit the nail right on the head.

Yes, but it just looks too suspicious.

My condolences go out to the family and friends.

I don't think that anyone who knows African highways or drivers would have any difficulty believing this was just a traffic accident.

I do actually believe it was an accident, considering the nature of the actual crash.

The photo op with Mugabe and the VP (weeping over the bed) was just ridiculous, of course.

My sympathy to the Tsvangirai family.

This wasn't an accident.  It was a warning.

It was an accident according to the MDC and it is unlikely that this accident was more than just an accident. In fact because so few people drive on Zimbabwe's poor highways and the infrastructure is so poor there probably is just a very high chance of accidents in Zimbabwe illustrating a completely different issue of infrastructure.

Zimbabwe's government is almost as progressive as Russia's is in terms of dealing with political dissent, it would seem.

Awaiting remark "the United States should help initiate a coup against Mugabe"....

Although from what I have read of the Tsvangirai it appears to be legitimately an accident, I do find it quite ironic that Iron Bob's rival was involved in an accident whilst on his way to an MDC rally in Buhera, an region known for its political abductions.

No, as Ben would say, just send in the US army, pick up Mugabe and take him abroad. And tell Zimbabwe "Don't worry about us, just pickin' up your President".

I've been saying that for quite a while now.

Update: Tsvangirai says it really, really was an accident and that Bob warned me that if I didn't say so he'll make sure next time it really happens.
