Top 11 reasons the White House wanted to install Ahmed Chalabi as president of Iraq.

1. Wanted Chalabi to have as much legitimacy as Dubya enjoys.

2. Anyone convicted of bank fraud and embezzlement can't be all bad.

3. Iranian spy Richard Perle has trusted Chalabi since the Ayatollah introduced them in 1985.

4. $300,000 a month to the INC means $150,000 a month to the RNC.

5. Wanted to pick someone whose name Bush had already demonstrated the ability to pronounce.

6. Chalabi earned it. After all, there couldn't have been a war without him.

7. Wanted to make things as difficult as possible for President Kerry.

8. Afraid Chalabi would write a tell-all book if he left the administration.

9. Dubya infatuated with the slogan, "All Iraq needs is a little A.C."

10. Trying to see if they can piss-off the U.N. even while transferring power.

11. Dubya only trusts his drinkin' buddies
