This is exactly why Mitt Romney is a horrible person.  He's an opportunist of the worst kind.  And if anyone thinks Nevada will vote for a guy who immediately after being elected will start his presidential campaign and therefore rarely vote, then you're delusional.  Mitt is as fake as Pamela's tits.

There is about a 0.001% chance of this happening but I wish it would. It would make for one hell of an entertaining race.

Romney gets unfairly beaten around a bit in political circles like this forum just because he hides his fakeness less well than most presidential candidates, causing some of the reactions you see

It'll be hard to run for NV Senator and CA Governor at the same time...

I don't know if there'd be anything illegal about that, although I'd need to find out about the residency stuff to say for sure.  Biden ran for VP and reelection in the Senate.

Unless the primaries are really far apart, I'm almost sure it'd be impossible. But hopefully not...

MITT ROMNEY: TRUE STRENGTH FOR CALIFORNIA and/or NEVADA's FUTURE!

I think he should go a step further, and just run for every major office in the country in both 2010 and 2012.  Then out of whichever races he wins, pick the office that's most prestigious.  The fun part would be when he produces campaign platforms for different states that are contradictory.

Dont you have to live in a state for a few years before you run to be that state's Senator?

Remember that this is Nevada we're taking about. Residency requirements for just about anything are loose at best.

In view of how Nevada voted for President in 2008 -- Romney would be making a huge blunder.

Maybe, but to most Romney comes off as a used cars salesman.

A used car salesman has 1000X more integrity in one toenail than Mitt Romney has in his entire body.

Perhaps this is to counter the rumor that Ensign is running. Romney really needs Nev, as he's not likely to win Iowa (assuming Huckabee runs again) or SC.

Damn. That's almost satanic levels of non-integrity.

Hey man, don't get your shirt in a knot.  I am simply employing the same old, tired, worn out tactics that Deeds for Governor uses time after time after time after time..........

Maybe,  just maybe he can see just how trite it really is.

This is actually a fairly new insult.  I've never compared Romney to a used car salesman before Tongue

I doubt Mitt Romney will win, Hes running against the Majority Leader of the United States Senate. The Democrats are are very popular in this country and the senate elections are only one and a half years away. Unless the democrats screw up big time Harry Reid MIGHT lose his senate seat.

Reid isn't very well liked though -- his skills come from being a deal-maker not because he's telegenic and affable.  Why would marginal Democrats turn out in an off-year except if Gibbons survives his primary challenge from Joe Heck?

I mean, I think Reid will survive just fine because of the lack of a serious challenger.  Even if Heller declares, his geography is far from ideal and Reid will still dominate the airwaves.
