Neutral. Some have a point, some are just paranoid idiots. But that's true of nearly all protesters.

An unstable and hysterical group of paranoid nuts indicative of the overall dangerous trend of Conservatives whipped up by republican talking heads and funded by the wealthy.

There's another McVeigh incident on the way, guys, you just wait.

A dangerous, dangerous group. And I'm not kidding or trying to be funny: the country would be better off without these people. Their pathetic protests today were filled with hatred and ignorance.

How many left leaning protest organizations can you say the exact same thing about?  I'm not defending the teabaggers, I'm pointing out that I hope to see this level of outrage out of you the next time A.N.S.W.E.R. displays hatred and ignorance.

I don't think there are mainstream liberal protest groups calling for the execution of the President, members of Congress, etc. or encouraging armed insurrection.

I'm much more concerned about groups of people who stress gun ownership, vigilante behavior, and call for "revolution." Alot of people could get hurt by this and unfortunately probably will be because of these crazies and those who are egging them along in the media and the Republican leaders.

Well there's your problem, you think these are mainstream conservatives.

(and I'm pretty sure somebody somewhere has called for the execution of W)

Read Daily Kos once in a while. You'd find people calling for the death of Bush and Cheney daily.

That's the problem though: these people are mainstream. Some of the biggest organizers for this were the Republican media talking heads (Hannity, Cavuto, Beck, most of Fox really) as well numerous significant GOP politicians (such as Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry).

It's so funny how the roles are reversed these days. Notice how it's ok to call these protestors potential terrorists. At the same time (as I mentioned elsewhere), it's now ok for a certain side to advocate leaving the country (by secession, no less)!

I just find myself even more turned off by this whole game with each day that goes by.

My favorite part was when I saw a CNN reporter write off the protestors, claiming they were just here to start up trouble and their message was just foolish.

I'm against most forms of protesting, but I love, love, love the double standard we are seeing.

One random comment, out of literally millions? I guess the Atlas forum is a radical neo-Nazi website then, as Stark has made numerous posts here.

And burning images of Bush counts as what exactly?

The point of my post is that the hypocrisy of both sides is getting on my damn nerves. It's ok, Lief. You can admit that your side is wrong on things, too.

There is no double standard. Anti-war protesters made up millions of people nation-wide before and after the war in Iraq started, and they were actually protesting something tangible.

These protesters are protesting, among other things, tax increases that don't exist and probably wouldn't affect them anyway, bailouts that originated under the previous administration, authoritarianism the previous administration specialized in, among other equally inane things like "Socialism" or Obama's "citizenship."

These protests were manufactured and pimped out like hell by FoxNews and a variety of Republican leaders and talking heads and are far more dangerous. I'm much more concerned about a group of gun obsessed racist faux revolutionaries than a group of pacifists or angry bloggers.

As an avid viewer of Foxnews and a subscriber of the RNC and other Republican news letters, I received nothing about this Tax Day Tea Party. I think it was mostly some grassroots people who stole the Libertarians ideas and tried to make it a big deal. You're right that people like Hannity, Ingraham and Beck pimped it, but Fox wasn't harping on this anymore than other networks were.

I consider most of these protesters from both sides dangerous. The right may have gun obsessed racists, but the left has people calling for the killing of Bush, burning our flags and images of our President, calling for us to carry our leaders out of town on a pole. I happen to think that's pretty dangerous as well.

They are no different the other rallies held by liberals. Its funny, if a Conservative group holds a rally(protest) they are nuts and needs to be sent out of the country, but if a liberal group holds a rally(protest) they are freedom fighters Roll Eyes

What are you talking about? Fox had wall-to-wall coverage all day and pimped the hell out of this thing.

Why are you concerned if they're faux revolutionaries? And not all of the left wing protesters are pacifists.
