This might be a little nomorelies-ish, but it does worry me about how conservatives think Bush is so great because he always takes action and is so aggressive and all.

Would you want someone like that as President at that time? Had Bush been in office in 1962, the world probably wouldn't have seen 1963.

More likely that the Bay of Pigs would have gotten the needed air support and the invasion would have worked.  Cuba would be a democratic US satellite.
