Not that I really know much about any of these candidates.....but I just discovered that Juppé is a criminal....and I don't mind the UDF, so that'll be my vote:

He's certainly not a saint and I'm definitely not one to defend him, but Chirac was the real crook. While he probably was involved too, Chirac is the real criminal.

He's a rural-based MP who seems to be doing a good job. Although being in the New Centre, he's one of the most independent members of the NC, meaning that he doesn't have a voting record 100% in line with the government.

Really sorry. I had no more ideas for CPNT candidates. If you really want, I can "move" Nihous from 9th to 10th.

Hervé Mariton ( UMP ).
Perhaps you should consider having less constituencies, especially if the participation rate remains low.

Right. I did the dramatic error to think that we could mobilize far more people, but nobody seems to be really interested in my idea...

So, I guess I'm in the 10th constituency. Though my MP in real life and for who I've voted in real life is in 7th one, Philippe Folliot. I can tell you that he is officially in NC but actually it is never mentionned anywhere and he never speaks about it, he is clearly a local Bayrou. Héhé, I even tend to think he could be in NC because he would have too much ego for being with that other big ego that is Bayrou. That said the guy has clearly no intentions for the national scale, he clearly stays on the local one.

Damn, my constituency is awful. Well, I must go to Moscovici.

Eh, you seem pretty staunchly secular, so I'm not sure you'd like Pinte.

On a side note, which I just noticed, Jacques Bompard is not a member of the FN. He joined the MPF in 2005.

In my TL, UDF didn't split in the MoDem and NC.

I chose Moscovici because he seems being one of the most intelligent socialists. I read his book about Sarkozy and it's very moderate compared with other books like Bayrou's.

Oh OK. Pardon, didn't thought about the alternative TL.

Well, he is not the worst, by far, but frankly, he misses strength, without strength intelligence is nothing, or he has to be an adviser, but, unluckily, it seems that his personal ambition is too big to be an adviser.

We're speaking about politicians, not philosophers... Wink

That's why it makes of him, maybe someone intelligent, but finally someone ineffective for his ideas, because he isn't able to well manage his ambition, and, in the end, it makes of him a mild without power. That's why I wasn't really enthusiastic to go for him. But well, we have to deal with what we have, that wouldn't be elections otherwise!

You should be right. I didn't see him as paticularly ambitious, not more than every other socialist anyways ! Cheesy However, I agree with you that he isn't absolutely charismatic.
