Depends on where. Northern California vs. Eastern Washington is a no brainer-bring on Cali. Los Angeles vs. Seattle is an equally easy decision to make; take me to the sounds.

I couldn't decide because of this geographic disparity, so I compared the places that have the first zipcode in each state. In California, that's 90001, Firestone Park (Los Angeles). In Washington, it's 98001, Auburn.

Firestone Park is hard to find info on, map appears to be roughly halfway between Los Angeles' city centre and Compton. So even though it was already impossible for it to win, as part of LA, it definately disappears.

Until I looked at Auburn. It appears to be the worst kind of suburbia -poor, badly connected and rapidly growing. This decision was not going to be possible. So, I looked at the last zipcode in each state: Clarkston WA 99403; Truckee CA 96162.

Clarkston is a dying city on the border between Idaho and Washington, across the river from Lewiston. It's poor, white, timber-based and next to f'ing Idaho.

Truckee is in the Tahoe area, and is rich, white and snowy, and next to f'ing Nevada. But at least it looks absolutely beautiful. It's the 'suburban' service employee area for the Tahoe region, I think, but that's OK, it's still way better than Clarkston, and I'm voting for California.
