This is just out of a bunch of narrow victories and contests. The South moves toward Regean, being the most Conservative of the four choices. However, most of his victories are still rather narrow due to the popularity of the Georgian Governor, who still holds onto that state itself. Vote-splitting in the North also gives the Republicans a lot of states. Unforntunately, the House is dominated by the Democratic Party. Jimmy Carter is made President of the United States.

Gerald Ford/Bob Dole 217 Electoral/30% Popular
Ronald Reagan/Paul Laxalt 187 Electoral/25% Popular
Jimmy Carter/Walter Mondale 98 Electoral/27% Popular
Jerry Brown/Shirley Chisholm 36 Electoral/16% Popular

I'd vote Reagan in this

Tough call in this, but I think I'd be fine with anyone but Reagan.
