It sounds great on the surface, but I need to know more. For instance the burning question on my mind is "Does it leave any bruises or marks?" If the answer to that question is yes, then I'm afraid that I'll have to continue buying a sack of oranges at the grocery store every week.

exactly, leather bond bibles are outrageously expensive.  this rod thing is not needed though, a belt does fine among other things

You're right there!  I bet the belt comes in handy for when you catch your pre-teen son watching The Simpsons and you need to beat the Jesus back into his unholy soul, right?  But no doubt he'd feel better after he plays some more with the handgun you bought him.

You're right there!  I bet the belt comes in handy for when you catch your pre-teen son watching The Simpsons and you need to beat the Jesus back into his unholy soul, right? 

I've never caught him watching the Simpsons.  Not even sure he knows of the show.  And I've never caught him surfing the network channels since the channels he watches are in the channel 241-304 range of DirecTV….in any case, we have implemented the parental control features of DirecTV.

Most of the spankings our kids get happen before the age of 6 and mostly have to do with controlling their tone of voice.

As I have repeatedly told you, the gun is kept in my gun safe and he doesn't know the combination.  But I do feel guilty that we haven’t had time this summer to go to the shooting range.  He has yet to shoot it.

He does practice with his bow and is preparing for deer season.  The raccoons recently ate through the plastic deer feeder.  We’ll have to invest in a metal one.

Never had a god rod. We used the ol' belt. And I'm from a non-religous family.
