Why not just leave the whole map gray, you (vile language deleted!)?
Sam Spade?

Here's my ridiculous map, anyways:

With one slight modification, that map makes sense with the right caption:

Obama (D)     388
Thune (R)          31
Huckabee (I)  118

It's not so ridiculous after all!

Oh -- the message that likely got "Alexander Hamilton" expelled for posting something that the real Alexander Hamilton  would never have said has been deleted.

I like how you always give the Democrats the advantage when you create your maps.  Seems like you're guarantee Obama to win and his approval ratings are going down while disapproval ratings going up.  I think you ought to give your maps some more thought before posting.

If you're going to get onto pbrower for making a prediction, then why did you bother making one? If what happens in the next three years is so unpredictable, why bother making a prediction?

The answer? Plain simple bias. Everybody wants to see Obama either have an epicly successful first term where rainbows fly out of everyone's cars, or they want to see Obama have an epic fail of a presidency where the government starts raping babies!

Seriously, what's the point of arguing against somebody whose opinion is already set in stone? Let the Democrats believe that Obama is going to turn into Jesus Christ Act II, let the Republicans believe that Obama is going to turn into Jimmy Carter Act II!

Monthly post:

If Obama does really good, this:

Montana is not going Democratic in 2012.

I think there is a small voting bloc, who really, really hates authority, basically hating the establishment, whatever the establishment is. But since youve probably already tossed out my idea, lets provide some facts:

1980: Dems in Control, Montana trends Rep.
1984: Reps in Control, Montana trends Dem.
1988: Reps still in Control, Montana trends Dem.
1992: Reps STILL in Control, Montana trends Dem.
1996: Dems in Control, Montana trends Rep.
2000: Dems in Control, Montana trends Rep.
2004: Reps in Control, Montana trends Dem.
2008: Reps in Control, Montana trends Dem.
2012: Dems in Control, Montana will trend Rep.

Barring some unforseen change, Montana will trend Republican, and keep switching.

Wow, amazing analysis.

Even if it trends Republican, that doesn't mean that it will vote Republican. If Obama is successful, the country as a whole will likely swing to the Democrats. Montana could easily swing Democratic without trending Democratic and, as long as the national swing is high enough, it would vote Democratic. Example: Both Ohio and Florida trended Republican in 2008, yet they both switched from Republican to Democratic.

If realicidealist says so it must be true.
