Democrat Eliot Spitzer with Commanding Lead in New York

Spitzer has a substantial lead over likely Republican contenders. Spitzer-Republican matchups show:
  • 66 - 18 percent over Randy Daniels
  • 66 - 18 percent over William Weld
  • 66 - 18 percent over John Faso


From March 21 - 27, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,674 New York State registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.4 percentage points. The survey includes 548 Republicans with a margin of error of +/- 4.2 percent, and 702 Democrats with a margin of error of +/- 3.7 percent.
