 By: leip (I-NY) - 2006-04-13 @ 13:10:17

Democratic incumbent Gov. Ed Rendell leads Republican challenger Lynn Swann, the former Pittsburgh Steeler, 47 - 37 percent in his race for reelection. This is virtually unchanged from the results of a February 15 poll.

From March 28 - April 3, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,354 Pennsylvania voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percentage points. The separate survey included 451 black voters, with a margin of error of +/- 4.6 percentage points.

The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D., conducts public opinion surveys in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida and the nation as a public service and for research.
