John Hickenlooper announced that he was dropping out of the race during the poll's duration.

Name recognition levels were as follows: Hickenlooper 86%, Beauprez 84%, Ritter 69%, Holtzman 50%, Lindstrom 31%.

The party make-up was 252 Republicans (40.3%), 223 Democrats (35.7%), and 150 independents (24.0%).

About this Poll
Results of a three-day poll of registered voters in the state of Colorado. Results are based on telephone interviews with 625 registered voters in Colorado and conducted February 6-8, 2006. The margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points.

Voters were selected randomly from the last four digits of their phone numbers. A cross-section of exchanges was utilised to ensure an accurate reflection of the state, and county quotas were assigned to reflect voter turnout. All respondents were registered voters who vote regularly.
