LePage (R) opens up a huge lead

Two weeks after slipping into a near tie, Republican Paul LePage has once again jumped ahead in the race to be Maine’s next governor, while Democrat-turned-Independent Eliot Cutler has risen to his highest level of support to date.

The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Maine was conducted on October 26, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
