The survey by Democratic pollster The Mellman Group found that Barrett, a Democrat, had 40 percent of the vote and Walker, a Republican, had 39 percent with 21 percent undecided.
About this Poll
The poll of 600 likely voters, first reported on by WisPolitics, was done on Jan. 11 through 14 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points. It was done for the Greater Wisconsin Committee, a liberal group.
